What can I do to control the humidity levels in my home? Depending on your humidity issues you can add humidity through a humidifier (normally in the heating season) or you can remove humidity with a dehumidifier (usually in the cooling season).
Are air conditioners and heat pumps efficiency rated? Yes they are. They are rated in SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating).
What is SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio)?  The SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) measures the efficiency of a system’s operation over an entire season plus the higher the SEER the greater the savings potential. The actual savings are based on hours of operation which vary from home to home. Mid-efficiency units with a SEER under 13 have been discontinued due to government regulations.
